Sound from headphone jack using Nvidia sound driver?

Postby hkeiner » Fri Feb 26, 2010 8:42 pm

Is it possible to configure an Acer Revo to output sound via the headphone jack using the Nvidia sound driver? My Acer Revo R3610 currently outputs sound only via HDMI when the Nvidia driver is chosen in sound control panel and outputs sound only from the headphone jack when the Realtek driver is chosen in sound control panel. I would like to be able to output sound via both the HDMI and the headphone jack using the same driver/control panel setting so that I can output via these two sound output modes at the same time.

I figure that I either have to use a different configuration/driver setup or this is just not possible?

Thanks in advance for any info on this..

OS: Windows XP
Acer model: R3610
Nvidia sound driver : 1.00.00.55hkeiner

I don't think this is possible. You cannot use two Sound Devices at the same time with the same output (without an external loopback).

I know that many programs will let you select which output device to use independent from the default WIndows sound device. But, I don't know any software that will allow you to output to two devices, certainly not Windows.
