2 NES & 2 SNES Games Coming To Switch Online On February 19 –

We’re adding more games to the Nintendo Switch Online service. As a paying member, you’ll have access to two other Super Nintendo games (Pop’n TwinBee and Smash Tennis) and two other NES games (Shadow of the Ninja and Eliminator Boat Duel). In a way, they’re more exciting than usual because they’re a little less well-known. I haven’t played any of them yet and it’s great to have the opportunity.

Finding other obscure games for this service will make it shine in the long run, and I think it’s a great initiative. I’m particularly interested in spending time in Shadow of the Ninja, a game I’ve missed in the past. What are the next games you hope to see before the shift?

OFFICIAL CONFESSION:

The 19th. In February, the Nintendo Switch online service released two Super NES™ games that have never been released in the US before! Pop ‘n TwinBee, a classic cute shooting game, and Smash Tennis, a 16-bit spin on the competitive sport of personality, join the Super Nintendo Entertainment collection System™, Nintendo Switch Online for the Nintendo system Switch™. This is a great opportunity for players to try games they missed out on with the original releases overseas.

Two other NES™ games will be available that day for Nintendo Entertainment System™, the Nintendo Switch Online Collection: the iconic action platform game Shadow of the Ninja and the power racer Eliminator Boat Duel. These new additions expand the NES – Nintendo Switch online library to 52 games and the Super NES library to 26 games, for a total of 78 classic games.

Super RPS

  • Pop’n TwinBee – The sixth game in the TwinBee series. This vertically scrolling shooting game is set in an adorable and pop lovely environment. TwinBee and WinBee learn that the great Dr. Murdock has lost his mind, so they try to make him normal again. This game was originally released in Japan and Europe in 1993, but this will be the first time it has been released in the United States.
  • Smash Tennis – In Smash Tennis, the controls may be simple, but there’s plenty of room for skill! With strong shots, weak shots, lobs and eight different types of courts, you can develop all kinds of approaches to deciphering deep tennis strategies. This game was originally released in Japan in 1993 and in Europe in 1994, but this will be the first time it has been released in the United States.

NES

  • Shadow Ninja – In the midst of unrest and oppression, two shadow warriors rise up to answer the people’s call for help. Play as one of the two Ninja Masters of the Iga Clan as they infiltrate the enemy’s front lines. Learn clever tactics as you acquire additional weapons and power-ups to overthrow the evil emperor and destroy his evil empire, alone or with a friend.
  • Eliminator Boat Duel – In this motorboat racing game, take the wheel of one of the fastest cars on the water to put a large amount of money on the line. Racers earn thousands of dollars to compete against each other, and you use your winnings to repair and improve your boat to push your competitive edge to the limit. A little aggression goes a long way – just try not to sink, or you’ll swim to shore.

These games expand the range of entertainment games available with a Nintendo Switch online membership, collections that include well-known and iconic NES classics such as The Legend of Zelda™, Super Mario World™ and Super Mario Kart™.

The four games added this month feature multiplayer action and take full advantage of the additional online features available on Nintendo Switch Online.
