watchOS 7.3 Release Candidate update now available to download

Last week, Apple released WatchOS 7.3 Beta 2 for developers. After beta testing, Apple finally released an update candidate for WatchOS 7.3 today. Release Candidate is the new name of the Apple Golder master build, apparently it contains all the features that will be available in the final update. Hopefully Apple can release a public build next week. Here’s everything you need to know about updating candidates for the WatchOS 7.3 release.

The latest Apple Watch has a manufacture number of 18S801 and weighs about 140MB. Developers can download a free Release Candidate Update. And it’s available for Apple Watch Series 3 and newer models. One of the best things about the WatchOS 7.3 update candidate is that it includes many useful new features, improvements, and bug fixes.

Speaking of changes, the watchOS 7.3 RC update comes with a new Watchface called Unity Watchface, the Workout Time Talk app for Apple Fitness+ subscribers, the ECP app and support for irregular heart rate notifications in more countries, as well as a number of bug fixes. watchOS 7.3 includes new features, improvements, and bug fixes, including :

  • The dial of the Unity watch is inspired by the colors of the Pan-African flag. Shapes change throughout the day as you move, creating a face that is uniquely yours.
  • Walk Time for Apple Fitness+ subscribers is a Workout audio app where guests share inspirational stories as they walk.
  • ECG application on Apple Watch Series 4 or higher in Japan, Mayotte, the Philippines and Thailand.
  • Irregular heartbeat messages in Japan, Mayotte, the Philippines, Taiwan, and Thailand
  • Fixed an issue where the Control Center and Notification Center might not respond when Zoom is enabled.

Download watchOS 7.3 RC Update

  1. First, you must register on the Apple Developer Program website.
  2. Then continue with the download.
  3. Click on WatchOS 7.3 beta, which is available under Downloads. Then click on the download button.
  4. Now install the watchOS 7.3 beta profile on the iPhone and enable the profile by going to Settings > General > Profiles.
  5. Now restart your iPhone.

  • Make sure the Apple Watch is at least 50% charged and connected to the charger.

To install watchOS 7.3 Release Candidate Update

  1. First, open the Apple Watch application on your iPhone.
  2. Press my watch.
  3. Then click on General > Software update > Download and installation.
  4. Enter the password to confirm.
  5. Click on the Accept terms button.
  6. Then click on Installation.

The WatchOS 7.3 RC update is now downloaded and applied to your Apple Watch. And once the installation process is complete, your clock will restart. When everything is ready, you can start using Apple Watch.
